This is a very heavy and efficient speaker, with a 1" voice coil it can handle up to 90 watts RMS and 175 watts peak. Pumping out the high frequency sound is just what this speaker was designed for with a SPL rating of 92 dB and a practical range from 1500 Hz. to 21000 Hz. you will find that the EME-1-8 is a great to replace that blown tweeter, or for any new project you have in the wings.

Tweeters on average are rated to 40 or so watts, the Mavin E-1 series is twice that at 90 Watts RMS yet is needs only a few watts to power. The power range for optimum performance is at least 25 Watts and as high as 90 watts, with peak spikes up to 175 Watts.
